With a return to the UEFA Champions League looking increasingly likely, AC Milan are set to receive a significant financial boost, which will then be used to strengthen the squad available to Massimiliano Allegri. Additional income will also come from player sales, such as the transfer of Samuel Chukwueze to Fulham FC: the English club has already informed Milan of its intention to exercise the option to buy the Nigerian winger permanently.
How much will Milan earn?
According to gazzetta.it, the agreed fee set last summer is €24 million. A significant amount that would allow the Rossoneri to further increase their budget for the upcoming summer transfer window. Behind Fulham’s decision to sign him outright is certainly the strong season Chukwueze has had so far: he has made 20 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals, including two against Manchester City on December 2.
Future in England?
In Allegri’s Milan, which (barring major surprises) will also play in a 3-5-2 formation next season, there is no room for a winger like the Nigerian. Added to this is the fact that English football seems better suited to his style of play compared to Serie A, where there is far less space. Fulham could therefore be the right solution for Chukwueze’s future.
