The values of AC Milan and Fondazione Milan took centre stage in New York. A Rossoneri delegation travelled to the United States - a strategic market for the Club - to contribute to the development of the next generation of international diplomats. More than 4,000 students from over 140 countries gathered for the annual "Change the World - Model United Nations" event, organised by Associazione Diplomatici and Change the World Academy at the United Nations Headquarters.
AC Milan legend Alexandre Pato, ambassador for this overseas visit, took to the stage at this prestigious institutional event, which was also attended in 2023 by Club President Paolo Scaroni. In line with the vision of the Club and Fondazione Milan - which, through the Sport for Change programme, provides young people with opportunities to discover their talents and rise above challenging social circumstances - the Brazilian star spoke about the power of football to change lives. A powerful message that reflects both his personal and professional journey, deeply connected to the Rossoneri colours.
"Representing AC Milan and Fondazione Milan in such a prestigious setting is a great honour," said Pato. "Throughout my career I have achieved important milestones, but I have also experienced difficult moments, during which the support of a Club and a dressing room that felt like a second family was essential. This is why I strongly believe in Fondazione Milan's commitment to creating safe and positive environments where young people, even those from challenging backgrounds, can pursue their passions."
These principles have shaped the entire visit of the delegation in the United States, which also included a visit to the young beneficiaries of the Soccer Program at Success Academy Charter School in Harlem, New York. Supported by Fondazione Milan since 2021, the initiative aims to promote access to football and its educational value for more than 5,000 students, regardless of their background or economic circumstances.
The visit reflects the Club's and the Foundation's commitment to fostering inclusion and equal opportunities through sport, while highlighting their focus on empowering future generations. At the same time, it reinforces AC Milan’s positioning as a global brand capable of connecting with diverse communities around the world, including in the United States, where the Club was recently confirmed as the strongest Italian football brand by brand strength (YouGov FootballIndex, 2026).
