Luka Modrić’s season so far has been excellent in every respect. From a mental and charismatic point of view, key qualities to bring into a dressing room like AC Milan’s, which has gone through many changes in recent seasons, to the technical side, the Croatian maestro has been a key figure and will continue to be so in the future.

In fact, Luka has already far surpassed his playing time from last season in La Liga: with Real Madrid in 2024–25 he played 1,820 minutes in the league, while in this Serie A campaign he has gone beyond two thousand, reaching exactly 2,096. According to league statistics, he is the second player in Serie A for completed passes: 634, compared to over 800 by Juventus’s Locatelli, who is also twelve years younger, as pointed out via Milan News.
