La Repubblica, on newsstands this morning, leads with the headline:
"Milan, mission accomplished. Allegri looks to the future: ‘We will carry on together'."
With considerable effort, the Rossoneri, after two consecutive defeats, returned to winning ways yesterday away to Hellas Verona, who are now on the verge of mathematical relegation to Serie B. Milan also had to endure some difficult moments, but in the end they secured the three points, the only thing that matters at this stage of the season. With this victory, the Milan side have taken an important step towards qualification for the next Champions League, as their lead over fifth place has now increased to eight points.
After the match, Max Allegri spoke and reassured supporters about his future on the Rossoneri bench:
“Could a call from the national team make me waver? Well, there hasn’t been any call at the moment. My focus is on Milan. We started a journey together and we will continue it together,” he told DAZN.
