Within a few weeks, there will certainly be developments regarding the future of Robert Lewandowski, the Polish striker whose contract with FC Barcelona is nearing its end. Fabrizio Romano, in his usual video on his YouTube channel, provided an update on the situation:
"I wanted to confirm a piece of news reported last week, everything is confirmed: very soon, within a matter of days, there will be a mission to Italy by Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi. It is certainly an issue that will be addressed in the coming weeks. Lewandowski's agent will be in Italy: he does not only represent the striker, but also other important players. As for Lewandowski, the situation remains the same: he has this reduced renewal offer from Barcelona which does not fully convince him, mainly due to alignment issues. If he were to stay in Spain, he would at least want to renegotiate it."
Talking further on Lewandowski's situation:
"There is a renewal offer, but the figures need to change. There are also very significant offers from Major League Soccer and from Saudi Arabia. As for Italian clubs, Lewandowski's agent will be in Italy very soon to assess the possibilities and understand all the options to put on the table before making a final evaluation. Lewandowski is waiting to have all the offers available: those from Barcelona, MLS, and Saudi Arabia are already there. We will see whether AC Milan and Juventus FC decide to explore matters further during this visit by Zahavi, which will help bring more clarity regarding Lewandowski's future."
