Yesterday, another very important meeting took place at Casa Milan between the AC Milan hierarchy and Massimiliano Allegri. Giorgio Furlani was present, and Igli Tare was also there. As has happened in recent weeks, transfer business was discussed again yesterday, and in particular the Milan coach reiterated that, if the team secures qualification for the Champions League, it will be necessary to strengthen it with the right signings and, ideally, players with experience.
The hottest name for Allegri is certainly Goretzka, a topic also raised during yesterday morning’s summit at the headquarters on Via Aldo Rossi. The German midfielder is set to become a free agent, and Milan have already made a move with a three-year contract worth €5 million, plus a one-year option. This is reported by Corriere dello Sport, which today leads with the headline:
"The summit yesterday at Casa Milan. It’s only Goretzka. Max’s sprint."
The coach is strongly pushing to get the midfielder, and Milan are waiting for confirmation of top-level European football before launching the decisive assault and making use of the momentum built up in recent weeks with the player and his entourage.
