Matteo Gabbia, the Rossoneri defender and one of the leaders in the dressing room, spoke after the very heavy 2–0 defeat away at Sassuolo.
These are his words given to Milan TV.
What didn’t work today?
"Very little worked. It was a negative match. We are the ones to blame, the squad as a group. We have to take responsibility and reset today, which was disappointing and negative: we move on, that’s the only way."
Where should you start again from? Gabbia answered:
"From what has been done in these past ten months. We must not forget the work that has been done to get to this point: we have our destiny in our own hands. We need to prepare in the best possible way for the match against Atalanta. There is not much to say: we are disappointed, angry, drained by today because we didn’t get what we wanted. We need to go back to Milanello with our minds focused and work to get back to three points on Sunday."
