In recent years, there has been one name that has repeatedly come back into orbit around Milan, without the Rossoneri ever being able to actually set up a concrete negotiation to bring him in. We are talking about Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy, who has been on the club’s shortlist since his Rennes days and has been playing for Borussia Dortmund for the past two seasons.
With the German side, over the last two years he has scored 59 goals in 95 matches, including 16 in the current Bundesliga campaign, which will conclude this weekend.
However, according to reports from Sky Sport Germany, Guirassy has informed Borussia Dortmund of his intention to leave the club in the summer. Born in 1996, the striker has a strong relationship with Kovac but would like to test himself in a different environment, now that he has reached the peak of his career.
His contract runs until 2028, and the club has no intention of selling him unless a very significant offer arrives. At present, Guirassy is protected by a €50 million release clause, but only for seven European clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. None of these teams have, so far, shown any interest.
There are, however, three clubs said to be interested: Milan is among them, along with Tottenham and Fenerbahçe. These clubs would need to open negotiations from scratch with Borussia Dortmund, as relayed via Milan News today.
