During the usual video update on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto gave an update on AC Milan, focusing in particular on the future of the club’s sporting director Igli Tare:
“The news I want to emphasise is that a decision has been made regarding Igli Tare’s future. In fact, Cardinale has decided to part ways with Tare. The Albanian sporting director will no longer be Milan’s sporting director at the end of the season. Everything will be made official, only the formal ratification of this decision is missing, but the decision itself has already been made and finalised. I can tell you that this will not be the only change within Milan, so I expect other pieces of the puzzle to change as well. In short, we’ll keep you updated, but the first decision has been made. The summer transfer market did not satisfy Cardinale; he did not like how the budget was managed.”
Will qualification for the Champions League affect the other decisions? Tare replied:
“I believe there are decisions that will be made regardless of the Champions League. This is one of them. Then, if Milan do qualify for the Champions League, perhaps some dynamics could change, but we’ll see.”
