Milan win a match of huge significance: Massimiliano Allegri’s side have won away at Genoa, a ground that has always been difficult for everyone and historically for the Rossoneri. It finished 1–2, after a very tight first half in which the Milan team struggled to create any real danger in front of Bijlow’s goal.
Everything changed in the second half, mainly thanks to Christopher Nkunku, who quickly won a penalty and then calmly converted it. The second goal then came from Zachary Athekame, a reward for a good performance, especially in an attacking phase where he has already shown promising signs over the course of the season.
For the Swiss full-back, this was his second goal of the season, after the one scored at San Siro against Pisa: excellent control and a shot from the edge of the area to finish off a fine move.
