Ardon Jashari was interviewed by SportMediaset at the end of Genoa vs Milan 1-2. These were his statements:
“Yes, it was a fundamental victory for us. We knew our situation before the match, and we had to focus on ourselves. And that’s exactly what we did. We won the match, which was really difficult. We knew that Genoa CFC would be a tough opponent at home, but what matters in the end is that we got the job done. Now, for next week, we have our destiny in our own hands to finish the season by achieving our objectives."
Jashari, what changed in your mindset? And was Cardinale also in the dressing room today?
“We already knew before stepping onto the pitch how important this match was. When you see your president and the management in the dressing room, you realise how much the match means. It gave us more pressure, okay. But also more motivation. I believe each one of us should feel proud of this match. We did what we had to do by staying united, and that’s what matters.”
Was this your best match since joining AC Milan?
“No. I’m never happy with the way I play. I always try to give my best and notice every single detail or the mistakes I make, like the one at the end. But that’s part of football, they are situations that help you grow. What matters more than anything is taking Milan into the Champions League, nothing else.”
Do you have a message for the fans?
“Hello Rossoneri fans. Sunday will be very important for us. You are very important for us at San Siro. All together, we will win this match. Forza Milan.”
