Genoa CFC have redeemed Lorenzo Colombo, who therefore officially leaves AC Milan and has become a new Rossoblù player. These are his words reported on the official website of the Grifone:

"I wanted to tie myself to a club, a team and a city like this one, and I will do my utmost to repay the trust and support of the club, the coach, my teammates and the fans. I am happy to continue playing in the red-and-blue shirt: Genoa is Genoa. I am fascinated by the atmosphere in the stadium at every match and aware of the emotional heritage it represents for tens of thousands of supporters."

This is the official statement from Genoa, which also reports the words of the club’s Chief of Football, Diego Lopez:

“Through its official website, Genoa has announced the permanent signing of Lorenzo Colombo from AC Milan. Here is the statement: ‘The Genoa of the future is beginning to take shape starting from the present: Lorenzo Colombo will be Rossoblù until 2029. After a season of growth, with 7 goals scored and 2 assists, the conditions have been met for the permanent acquisition of the striker, born in Vimercate (Milan) on 8 March 2002, with a contract extension until 30 June 2029."

The Club’s Chief of Football, Diego Lopez said:

"We strongly believe in Lorenzo’s human, technical and professional qualities and in his potential for further improvement. A modern striker like him, who at 24 years old has already made 200 club appearances in his career, will be a key figure in the squad we are building for next season. We thank Lorenzo, as well as his teammates, for his contribution on and off the pitch and in the dressing room.”
