Furlani had also been in London with Ibrahimovic and Calvelli during the week between the match against Atalanta and the one against Genoa, apparently already understanding the direction things were heading. It is no coincidence that Massimo Calvelli has recently become actively involved: he was present at the “Ferraris” stadium together with Cardinale and Igli Tare, the Rossoneri sporting director whose future remains uncertain. It is precisely the former ATP chief executive who is beginning to pull the strings in the search for a new Milan CEO. At present, the two leading names are Giovanni Carnevali, long-time executive at Sassuolo, and Adriano Galliani, strongly backed by some internal voices within the Milan world.
