Gianluca Di Marzio, within “Caffè Di Marzio”, the podcast in collaboration between TuttoMercatoWeb.com and Gianlucadimarzio.com, provided this update on the future of AC Milan’s coaching position:
“From Milan’s side, the situation is still absolutely evolving, with Iraola who has taken time. And when you take time in front of an offer from Milan, it is clear that you are waiting for other solutions, from Crystal Palace to Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool itself, because it is worth noting that it is not to be excluded that Liverpool could also sensationally part ways with Slot in the coming days, and at that point Iraola would become the chosen one for Liverpool’s bench. So I believe Milan should look elsewhere. Whether they choose Rangnick as technical director, whether he will accept what are his demands," as relayed via Milan News.
On the future of Napoli’s coaching position, for which former AC Milan coach Max Allegri is also in contention, Di Marzio explained:
“The surprise could come from Bologna because if the separation with Italiano takes place, the resolution either today or tomorrow, regardless of whether Italiano goes to Napoli or not, pay attention to the Domenico Tedesco track, who has already been considered by Bologna in the past. Then we return to the A of Allegri because today will be the day of the final decision, or at least it should be today between Italiano and Allegri. Italiano had a meeting, contact through his agents in this mysterious meeting in Rome. Allegri continued contacts yesterday to finalise a two-year agreement, also sacrificing something financially. Normally Allegri has always earned around 6 million per season, whereas with Napoli the two-year agreement would be around 5 per season, so 10 in total. Now on the table of Chiavelli and De Laurentiis, brought by Manna, there are both dossiers with both financial agreements, and the president will then have to make the choice whether to rely on Allegri or on Vincenzo Italiano.”
