Milan fans’ protest against the ownership is currently in full swing. The Rossoneri supporters have not yet taken to the streets, but are expressing in various ways their total disapproval of the work of Gerry Cardinale and his trusted collaborator Zlatan Ibrahimović. Posters have been put up both in Milan and Naples, where the main targets are the owner, the senior advisor, as well as Paolo Scaroni and Maikel Oettle. Banners have also been set up in front of Casa Milan. The Curva Sud has already issued a couple of very harsh statements.
Milan preparing to increase ticket prices:
In short, the atmosphere at Milan is very tense. The situation is currently more chaotic than ever: after missing out on qualification for the Champions League and the abrupt dismissal of all figures deemed responsible for the failure by Cardinale, the club is still effectively without leadership at almost every level. In this context and with the supporters’ protest ongoing, the ownership appears to be going its own way: according to today’s Corriere dello Sport, Milan is planning to increase season ticket prices this summer. Given the circumstances, it will be interesting to see the reaction of the Rossoneri fans, around 40,000 of whom renewed their season tickets last year.
