In the Rossoneri camp there is understandably a lot of talk about the future of the club’s management and the bench, but fans are also curious to know what Luka Modrić will decide to do, as his contract expires on 30 June. Tuttosport headlines this morning:
"Modrić, it’s not over. He will speak with Glasner"
The Croatian has not yet decided what to do: in the event he retires from playing, he already has an offer from Real Madrid to join their management, but before potentially saying goodbye to Milan, he wants to speak with the new coach, who is expected to be Oliver Glasner, and with the new technical director, who is expected to be Ralf Rangnick.
The Turin-based newspaper writes: "Modrić, as is known, has long received an offer from Florentino Pérez to return to Real Madrid, either as a director or as a member of José Mourinho’s staff. Now that the president has won the elections, the proposal has become concrete, but Modrić, who on the 17th will make his World Cup debut in Arlington (Texas) against England, has not yet made up his mind about his future. Retire and therefore return to live in Madrid and consequently at Real, or remain on the pitch for another twelve months? At that point, the possibility that Milan could come back into play should not be ruled out either. However, to open this small door, the Rossoneri club must first define who will lead the club and the team, and the chosen candidates must be convincing for Modrić, assuming they even want to convince him."
