It is all a matter of dreams. On one side, Rúben Amorim is aiming high and would like to coach him again; on the other, Francisco Trincão would be happy to work once more with a manager he holds in high regard at a club with great appeal. The 1999-born player was one of the key figures in Amorim’s remarkable Sporting Lisbon side, capable of winning the title despite competition from wealthier clubs such as Porto and Benfica. At present, the Portuguese international, currently involved at the World Cup, is one of the names linked with Milan, with the future yet to be decided.
Despite the club not managing to repeat its performances from previous years, at least in terms of the Portuguese league, Francisco Trincão (who is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes) confirmed himself as one of the best attacking wingers with 54 appearances, 13 goals and 18 assists. These figures confirm significant technical and tactical development and earned him a call-up from Portugal coach Roberto Martínez for the World Cup with the Portugal national team. This was relayed via Calcio Mercato.
What is Trincao's value?
At 21, Trincão seemed ready to take off with a transfer to Barcelona for €31 million, but the experience was not entirely positive. Now Francisco is a different player, certainly more ready and aware of his abilities. Corriere dello Sport reports a valuation of around €40 million.
