Now that Gonçalo Ramos has been finalised and signed as the new striker for Milan, pending official confirmation, the Rossoneri’s transfer team has returned to work. They did so in Lisbon, directly with Ruben Amorim, who is central to the decisions for this summer. With him was, of course, Gerry Cardinale, as well as the new figures in Milan’s recruitment structure: Hendrik Almstadt and his protégé Bobby Gardiner. They worked out the next steps of the club’s summer transfer window.
This morning, Gazzetta dello Sport reported the meeting in Portugal as follows:
"Cardinale-Amorim, summit in Lisbon for the new Milan: now 2-3 more signings."
It is further explained in the subheading:
"The Diavolo's pact. Four-hour meeting, also attended by Almstadt and Gardiner: Antonio Silva and Hjulmand among the targets, along with keeping the key players."
No major revolutions or sweeping changes to the squad are planned: the idea is to secure the big names and strengthen the squad with another couple of significant signings.
