Today's edition of 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' carries the following headline this morning:
"Milan, new defence. With Tomori on the way out, two will arrive: Amorim backs Inácio."
After completing the major attacking signing of Gonçalo Ramos, Milan are now working on strengthening their defence. While Gabbia, Pavlović and De Winter are all certain to stay, the same cannot be said of Fikayo Tomori, who could leave the Rossoneri this summer if an offer arrives that satisfies all parties.
Should the Englishman depart, Milan will bring in two new defenders. Ruben Amorim, who remains heavily involved in the Rossoneri's transfer dealings, has already told the club's directors that his preferred option is Gonçalo Inácio, Sporting Lisbon's 2001-born centre-back, who is valued at around €35 million. Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk remains the almost unattainable dream, while Benfica's António Silva also remains on the club's shortlist.
