The current edition of 'Corriere della Sera' headlines the Milan transfer market this morning as follows: “Cardinale’s coup: steals Gila from all the big clubs.” After completing the signing of striker Gonçalo Ramos for €75 million, Gerry Cardinale is close to finalising another purchase, namely Mario Gila, Lazio defender, for €25 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
The club has accelerated in recent hours, thus beating strong competition for the Spanish player, who had particularly caught the attention of Allegri’s Napoli and Atalanta. Juventus also made an enquiry for the former Real Madrid player, but in the end Milan will come out on top, as they already have a five-year contract prepared for Gila worth €5 million per season.
