Christian Pulisic, speaking from the United States training camp as the team prepares for its World Cup Round of 16 match against Belgium, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the upcoming clash:
"Is this the biggest match of my career? It depends on how you look at it... I've played in a Champions League final, but with my national team this is a massive occasion. Every year I see our football scene growing. Hosting a World Cup in the United States is helping many people truly understand what this sport means around the world, and more and more people are becoming passionate about it."
Pulisic was also asked about AC Milan, particularly the arrival of Ruben Amorim as head coach and Gonçalo Ramos as a new striker. However, he stressed that his sole focus is currently on the World Cup with the United States:
"Am I happy to have a new coach like Amorim and a new attacking partner like Gonçalo Ramos at Milan? Yes, of course, but right now there's only the World Cup. In fact, only Belgium..."
