Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, released these comments on Milan’s transfer market:
“Milan have made an important signing. They brought in Mario Gila after Gonçalo Ramos and have already invested more than €100 million. Milan have immediately made it clear that their transfer window will be very ambitious and important. Amorim’s instructions are very clear: he wanted a major striker and Gonçalo Ramos arrived; he wanted a defender and they completed the deal for Gila. Milan also assessed Gonçalo Ramos, who is a profile highly appreciated by Amorim. We will then see what happens regarding the defenders, because it is not certain that the market in that department is closed after Gila."
"Today, I can tell you that, in the latest meeting that took place between Amorim, Gerry Cardinale and the most important figures carrying forward the Rossoneri sporting project, the Portuguese coach requested a high-level attacking winger. So I believe the next step in Milan’s transfer market is a player who can start out wide, move inside, take players on one-on-one, and therefore a player who can operate behind Gonçalo Ramos. Milan’s transfer window is therefore not finished. Despite having already made important investments, they have no intention of stopping. Obviously, Milan will also make some sales, such as the one involving Leão.”
