'Il Quotidiano Sportivo' ran the following headline this morning:
"Milan-Amorim: the first steps of the season. And Cardinale arrives at the training ground by helicopter."
Yesterday marked the start of the new season for the Rossoneri, with the traditional pre-season gathering at Milanello. Milan owner Gerry Cardinale was also present, arriving at the Carnago training centre by helicopter to show his support for the new head coach Ruben Amorim and the squad. In the afternoon, there was also a surprise visit from Gonçalo Ramos, who will join up with the group in a few days as he is still on holiday following the World Cup.
Amorim was there to welcome the players at Milanello and delivered a brief message to the Rossoneri squad:
“I’m really happy to be here, and I’m proud. Whatever you may need, I’m here for you. I’m available. In any discussions with other players, I will defend you if you are in the right. That’s all. Let’s get started.”
