Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, discussed the futures of Santiago Gimenez and Rafael Leao:
On AC Milan's Santiago Gimenez and a possible move to Porto:
“As soon as the deal between Porto and Roma for Rodrigo Mora is definitively unlocked, I also expect the Portuguese club to take the decisive and final steps for Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican has a total agreement with Porto; what remains is to unlock negotiations between the two clubs, but the Gimenez operation is effectively linked to the Mora deal.”
What about Rafael Leao's future:
“We have no indication that Fiorentina could be in Leao’s future. I can say that the Portuguese forward has received approaches from an Italian club, but at the moment he is closing the door on a move to Italy. I would also add that, financially, this is an operation that would be very difficult for Italian clubs to pull off. Therefore, as things stand, neither Fiorentina nor any other Serie A club has asked about Leao.”
