The two evening Serie A matches have now concluded, with Milan and Atalanta both picking up victories. The Rossoneri secured a 2-1 win away at Torino, with debutant Cissé scoring on his first appearance in what was a dream evening for the youngster. Atalanta also came out on top, beating Sassuolo 2-1 in Bergamo.
Milan secured all three points away at Torino.
The match began at a very high tempo, with the Rossoneri coming close to taking the lead in the first half through Loftus-Cheek. The pace then dropped, forcing Amorim to turn to Modrić and Rabiot in the second half.
In the 64th minute, the most eagerly anticipated player finally broke the deadlock. Debutant Alphadio Cissé scored a superb goal, capping a dream first appearance for the youngster who has impressed Amorim. A debut goal worthy of a player destined for big things, as relayed via Alfredo Pedullà.
Just two minutes later, in the 66th minute, Rabiot doubled Milan’s lead. Estupiñán provided the cross, and the Frenchman finished to put the game seemingly beyond Torino’s reach.
Torino pulled one back late on through Che Adams in the 93rd minute, but it was too little, too late. The match finished 2-1 to the Rossoneri, giving Amorim a superb winning debut.
