Negotiations between Milan and Galatasaray for Rafael Leao are at the final stages, with a broad agreement already in place. The two clubs are finalising the last details of a deal worth €45 million plus bonuses. Once the agreement between the clubs is completed, the Turkish side will work on reaching an agreement with the player and his representatives, who have been offered a contract worth €10 million plus €2 million in bonuses.
Galatasaray are stepping up their efforts to sign Rafael Leao, and negotiations with Milan have now reached the final stages. Following Wednesday's meeting, 26 August, between George Gardi, an intermediary for the Turkish club, and the Rossoneri management, the parties are working to finalise the deal: the fixed fee will be €45 million, with bonuses to be added.
€10 million + €2 million in bonuses offered
Only after reaching an agreement with Milan will Galatasaray move on to negotiations with Leao and his representatives, who have been offered a contract worth €10 million plus €2 million in bonuses. Meanwhile, Leao, who missed the league opener against Torino through injury, has returned to group training after 12 days.
AC Milan's plans for life after Leao
Leao's potential departure could push Milan to strengthen their attacking midfield options. One of the players being monitored is Alvyn Sanches, the 2003-born Young Boys player, who has long been appreciated by the Rossoneri scouting department and is considered suitable for Amorim's system. There is no advanced negotiation yet, but his name is on the list of potential reinforcements the club is considering at the moment.
