Matteo Moretto discussed Rafael Leao's future in a video published on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel:
“I believe we will be talking about Leao until the end of the summer transfer window. We need to see who will meet Milan’s demands, as the club continues to ask for €50-60 million, including bonuses. We also need to understand what kind of project, particularly financially, will convince Leao.
At the moment, Galatasaray are the club offering the player the highest salary, but the Turkish side are not close to meeting Milan’s demands. Aston Villa, also thanks to the work of Jorge Mendes, need to see whether they can get closer financially to both Milan’s asking price and Leao’s demands. At the moment, they cannot. We will see if anything changes over the next few days.”
