For Milan, it was a transfer window of two sides and somewhat inconsistent, characterised by major highs but also significant gaps. Nevertheless, Repubblica’s editorial team, which published its transfer window ratings today, judged Gerry Cardinale and his team’s work positively, awarding them a 7.5/10.
This is Repubblica’s assessment of Milan’s transfer window: "Gonçalo Ramos, who cost €80 million, is the Rossoneri’s major signing of the window: already on the scoresheet in the league, he promises goals and a strong presence in the box. The sprinter Gila, who arrived from Lazio for €30 million, has already transformed Amorim’s defence. Twenty-year-old Diawara, Hutchinson and Diego Moreira, signed for €60 million, are moves looking towards the future, while Camarda returns to the club after his spell at Lecce. In terms of departures, Nkunku left Milan after a season below expectations, but the most high-profile exit is Leao’s after a summer of tension: €38 million plus bonuses is not a huge amount, though. Especially considering the €180 million spent, there remains a feeling that something is still missing, particularly in midfield."
