Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market expert, discussed Fikayo Tomori’s return to Milan's squad on his YouTube channel:
“Tomori had been on his way out throughout the entire summer transfer window, essentially from June until Ruben Amorim’s arrival and beyond. This morning, we received definitive confirmation of what we reported on the final day of the transfer window. We saw Tomori back in training: a handshake with Amorim, smiles... In short, it seems that peace has been restored between the defender and Milan, but this is a direct consequence of how the transfer window played out.”
Matteo Moretto then continued:
"Yes, it is certainly a consequence. But I would focus on what could happen now: it is true that Tomori is back at Milan’s disposal and is once again 100% focused on the Rossoneri’s competitive commitments, but his contract expires in 2027. I think it would be difficult to predict a possible contract renewal after everything that happened during the final stages of the transfer window," as relayed via Milannews.it.
"For now, the news is that a player who has been an important part of Milan’s recent history, winning a Scudetto and making numerous appearances in the Rossoneri shirt, is back at the club’s disposal."
"There is also another player who remains: Bondo, in theory, should stay. At the moment, despite enquiries from other markets, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, no solution has been found. As things stand, Bondo’s decision is to stay and fight for his place at Milan."
