There is only one certainty ahead of Milan’s next match, and it concerns the defence: Matteo Gabbia will not be available to Ruben Amorim. As reported by Sky Sport, the Rossoneri centre-back’s absence has been confirmed, forcing the Portuguese coach to make some decisions regarding his starting XI.

In front of Mike Maignan, who is expected to start in goal as usual, the defensive trio should therefore consist of Mario Gila, Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic. There should be no changes, however, to the back three that started the previous two matches, with Gabbia having come on during the games, as relayed via Milan Press.
Amorim's doubts over the wing and midfield
There is still some uncertainty over the left flank, where Estupinan and Bartesaghi are competing for a starting berth. On the right, meanwhile, Chukwueze is expected to retain his place.
In midfield, Amorim appears inclined to stick with Musah, while it remains to be seen where Adrien Rabiot will be deployed. The Frenchman has also been tried in the attacking midfield role, behind Goncalo Ramos. In that case, either Cisse or Loftus-Cheek could be given a place in midfield.
