Fabrizio Biasin, a journalist, gave his thoughts on 'Cronache di Spogliatoio' while trying to predict the result of Juventus-Milan:
“I’m giving more weight to the fact that Juve are playing at home. For me, that could potentially be the advantage, it’s as simple as that.
But, putting aside the unbearable rhetoric of ‘it’s only the third matchday, so it doesn’t matter’, I actually think this game is very important. Because it pits two of the biggest names in Italian football against each other, both coming off the terrible sporting failure of missing out on Champions League qualification. After this match, one of the two could end up carrying the media fallout with them, at least until after the upcoming international break. The break is a long one this year, and it will carry a lot of weight in terms of headlines, articles and all the discussion we’ll be having.
So, for me, this is a very important game because I can already see one of the two teams, if they lose, taking all the criticism on Monday morning and having to withstand all the talk that will follow. In Juve’s case, it would be: ‘There you go, Spalletti still hasn’t found the key.’ In Amorim’s case: ‘There you go, Cardinale signed Gonçalo Ramos and Gila, but then stopped in the transfer market.’ So, for me, this is a very important game because it will have a huge impact, I repeat, even from a media perspective, on the direction of one of these two teams.”
