Alphadjo Cisse has never been short of talent, yet Cisse was given very little playing time in Italy’s youth national teams. So, despite being born in Treviso, Guinea, the country of origin of both his father and mother, tried to "snatch" him away from Italy two years ago, when Alphadjo scored 16 goals for Hellas Verona’s Primavera side.
The new Milan player said no, patiently waiting for a call-up from Italy. That call-up came last autumn with the Under-21s, and he is now among head coach Mancini’s preliminary squad for the September and October Nations League matches. Cisse is hoping it comes. This was reported by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' in this morning's print edition.
