Milan beat Lecce 3-0 at San Siro, but more importantly, they impressed. Ruben Amorim's side head into the international break with three wins and two draws in Serie A, remaining unbeaten.
Gerry Cardinale, the head of RedBird, made a statement after the final whistle to express his satisfaction and his support for both the team and the coach.
Here are his words, as relayed via Milan News: "These were among the best 90 minutes of football we have seen. I want to congratulate Ruben and our players for continuing to fight through these opening games before the international break."
Cardinale added:
"No one should lose sight of the fact that a new coach, with a new style of play and new players, will need time to find the right chemistry. And I thank our fans for supporting us during this period of transition, as we work to put things right and bring AC Milan back to its winning tradition."
