"Juventus and Milan’s evening victories have brought the top of the table closer together. The league heads into the break with eight teams in double figures, compared with just four at this stage last season, meaning the gap between the best and the worst teams has increased. Last season, the top 10 had collected 96 points; this year, they have 106, ten more. Cagliari, Frosinone and, at a higher level, Lazio are all picking up results and playing at a surprisingly fast pace, while eight teams are struggling at the bottom of the table. That is a lot."
"The draw between Roma and Inter allowed Milan and Juventus to close the small gap. To give you an idea of how much perspectives can change when the season is still young, Milan go into the break one point above Como, while Juventus are level with them. After five matches, the fixture list still carries significant weight, but in the meantime, the convincing 3-0 win over Lecce has given Milan their best player back in Pulisic, while confirming that Moreira has a goal in mind even when he comes on for the final stages. Amorim gets three peaceful weeks and can clearly see a path to climb the table in Europe as well. Gonçalo Ramos did not score, but this time his contribution was appreciated."
