AC Milan have already got to work on contract renewals. In particular, there are two players of vital importance with whom the club has opened talks over extensions: Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot. This morning, 'Corriere dello Sport' confirmed the report regarding Pulisic: the American is returning to his best form and Milan want to tie him down before the January transfer window arrives.

He is not yet back to 100%, but what Christian Pulisic has shown in Milan’s last three games is encouraging. It is worth remembering that the American has endured an extremely difficult 2026, one of the most challenging years of his career. Before Sunday evening, when he opened the scoring against Lecce, his previous goal for the Rossoneri had come on 28 December 2025. That meant nine months without finding the net, followed by an underwhelming experience at the home World Cup and an injury that kept him out throughout the summer.
Amorim kept him on the bench for three games, but from half-time against Lazio onwards, he could no longer do without him: Pulisic contributed to the comeback, then came on again at the break against Benfica and was one of Milan’s best players. Finally, against Lecce, he returned to scoring with an outstanding performance. In short, Pulisic is returning to his best.
AC Milan want to renew Christian Pulisic's contract before January
The Rossoneri club management wants to renew Christian Pulisic’s contract by December. The American currently has an agreement that expires in 2027. There is a safety net in the form of a unilateral option for an automatic one-year extension, but the Rossoneri club want to avoid any misunderstandings and take the safer route.
The aim is to reach an agreement and complete the formalities with the player and his agents before the January transfer window, bringing the process forward. Milan’s desire would be to tie Pulisic down until 2031 while also increasing his salary. The idea is to raise it to at least €5 million, with several substantial bonuses included, as relayed via Milan News.
On the pitch, Amorim is realising how difficult it is to do without the American in the attacking midfield, and it is unlikely that we will see him on the bench again.
