When the international break is over, Milan will face a very demanding schedule: the Rossoneri will play nine times in the space of a month between Serie A and the Europa League. This first run of fixtures will begin on 11 October away to Sassuolo and conclude on 8 November against Genoa at the Ferraris. In between, there will be another seven matches: away trips to Salzburg and Bournemouth in Europe, as well as the home game against Ferencvaros; then several league fixtures against Atalanta, Udinese, Bologna and the Derby against Inter. "The answer will inevitably be rotation. Amorim has already made it clear that he wants to rotate, and rotate a lot. He has several players capable of playing in multiple positions (Moreira, Rabiot, Saelemaekers and Bartesaghi) and that helps. The fact that he has many young players who are less prone to injuries also helps. Then the team will adapt. Modric will play mainly in matches in which Milan will have possession, Camarda will get opportunities in place of Gonçalo Ramos, while in defence both Diawara and Terracciano will be called upon to lend a hand."
