We are currently in an international break, and it is interesting to take a look at how some of Milan’s players have started the season. This applies not only to the first team, but also to Milan Futuro, who have made an excellent start to their season under manager Navarro. One of the most interesting players in the Rossoneri’s Under-23 side is Lorenzo Ossola: the 2007-born attacking midfielder spent last season between the Milan Primavera and Milan Futuro. With a more attack-minded coach like Navarro, Ossola has also been noticeably improving his performances.

In this early part of the season, the young talent has been making a name for himself with impressive numbers:
- 4 appearances in Serie D in 2026-27, with two goals scored.
- He also scored the decisive goal against Everton U21 in the 2026/27 Premier League International Cup U21.
Ossola’s technical qualities and Amorim’s appreciation
Ossola is a very attack-minded attacking midfielder with an interesting left foot. He can play practically anywhere across the attacking line and can switch flanks depending on the team’s needs. He has excellent basic technical ability, and it is no coincidence that Amorim wanted to see him up close from the very first day of pre-season at Milanello. The decision was then made to let him continue his development for another season with Navarro’s Milan Futuro, as relayed via Pianeta Milan.
Saelemaekers’ injury and a possible first-team call-up
Yesterday, Saelemaekers injured his ankle (fortunately, there is no damage, but his condition will be assessed day by day). It remains to be seen whether the Belgian will be available against Sassuolo. If not, Amorim could call up Ossola, given that he is a quality left-footed attacking midfielder who can play on either flank. We will see. In the meantime, the youngster continues to develop very well with Navarro’s Milan Futuro.
