For the upcoming transfer windows, Milan are firmly looking towards the future of their midfield and have turned their attention to the Premier League. According to the latest reports from German outlet fussball-news.de, the club’s managers have begun closely monitoring Yasin Ayari, the talented 2003-born midfielder of Brighton and a rising star of the Swedish national team. The 22-year-old’s profile fits perfectly with the parameters of Milan’s technical department, which is always on the lookout for modern players with dynamism and a strong aptitude for high-intensity football.
Yasin Ayari’s technical characteristics: why Milan like him
Born in Solna, Sweden, in 2003, Yasin Ayari is establishing himself as one of the most complete prospects in English football. A modern box-to-box midfielder or, when required, a deep-lying playmaker, the Swedish player of Tunisian descent combines excellent technical ability with imposing physical qualities, attributes that allow him to excel both in the initial build-up and in winning the ball back. Under the guidance of Brighton’s coaches, Ayari has refined his ability to make off-the-ball runs, also finding the net both in the league and more recently in the Nations League clash against Poland. For Milan’s midfield, he would represent an interesting addition, capable of providing both passing structure and bursts of athleticism.
Transfer links and competition: Brighton’s valuation
The road to the Swedish gem, however, is far from straightforward for Milan. His excellent performances at the start of the season have attracted the attention of half of Europe: strong interest in the player has been registered from top clubs such as Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund, Atlético Madrid and Juventus in Serie A. Brighton have historically been a very expensive club to deal with, and although the player’s contract expires on 30 June 2027, the English club hold a unilateral option to extend it for a further year. This is why they have already set his asking price at around €40 million.
AC Milan are monitoring how the situation develops, ready to assess the feasibility of the deal in the upcoming transfer windows and potentially move ahead of the large international competition, as relayed via PianetaMilan.
