In his regular editorial for TMW, 'Niccolò Ceccarini' provided an update on AC Milan’s transfer plans, with the Rossoneri expected to be active in the market again in January following a busy summer in every respect.
“[...] Milan are assessing their options, and two very interesting possibilities remain on the horizon. The first is Gonçalo Inácio of Sporting CP. His price tag is very high, with the Portuguese club demanding €35–40 million.
“The other option is Tiago Gabriel. The Lecce centre-back has improved considerably. Milan stepped up their pursuit during the last transfer window and could make a move in January, although it will not be easy, as Fiorentina are also showing interest.
“However, the Rossoneri are also looking further ahead to next season, with the idea of bringing in a top-quality player who could partly compensate for Luka Modrić’s departure. The task is obviously extremely difficult, but Milan have already started monitoring several profiles.
“One of them is Bournemouth’s Alex Scott, who is impressing almost everyone in the Premier League. It is no coincidence that Arsenal and Chelsea have already made their moves for him.
“He is not the only option, though, as attention has recently turned to Brighton’s Yasin Ayari as well. He is a very versatile midfielder who performs at a high level both as a defensive midfielder and in the role behind the centre-forward.
“The Swede could become an excellent opportunity because his contract expires in June 2027, although the English club have the option to extend it unilaterally until 2028.
“Another name on the Rossoneri directors’ list is Adem Zorgane, the Algerian midfielder at Union Saint-Gilloise, who combines physical strength with good technical ability.”
