AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim spoke to 'Sky Sport 24' before the Rossoneri’s first match following the lengthy international break, away to Sassuolo. He shared his thoughts on the challenge awaiting his side. Here are his full comments.
Milan won their last Scudetto here four years ago. Would you like to take Milan back to that level?
“Yes, they told me about it, and they also told me that it is a difficult stadium to play in. There have been some difficulties in recent years. This is a different season, and we want to win, play well and continue on our path.”
Does Milan want to find out where they stand?
“Everything matters at Milan. We want to get every single training session right as well. That is the responsibility that comes with playing for a club like Milan.”
Why has Gila been positioned a little wider? Amorim said:
“We will see whether the defence plays with four or three at the back. The players remain the same during the match, and the important thing is to be aggressive. It is not about the formation, but about the approach and mentality you bring to every single ball. We have to give our all for every ball.”
Have you spoken to Ramos?
“I have spoken to the team and to a few individuals. I am not concerned about Gonçalo’s goalscoring. He is doing an excellent job. We need to improve as a team, and if we improve collectively, anyone can score more goals.”
