Nicolò Tresoldi’s father, Emanuele, gave an interview to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' in which he spoke about his son ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash against Inter at San Siro. The former Atalanta full-back will be in the stands for the Club Brugge striker’s first appearance at the Meazza, a stadium where he used to watch AC Milan’s stars in the past.
“When he was little, he fell in love with Kaká, Inzaghi and Pato, and there was no changing his mind. A future in Serie A? Perhaps, yes. His dream is to wear the Milan shirt.”
What if Inter came calling?
“I’m not at all sure he would accept. His feelings as a fan might prevail.”
On his son’s first Champions League appearance at San Siro against Inter, Emanuele Tresoldi added:
"It is an emotional and proud moment. Nicolò is gradually reaping the rewards of his hard work. He struggled to establish himself because he didn’t have the talent of a superstar or the physique of a tank. And yet, here he is. A father couldn’t ask for anything more."
