AC Milan are in talks with Markus Krösche for the role of Head of Football within the Rossoneri's management structure. It cannot even be described as a rekindling of interest, but rather as the resumption of contacts that had been interrupted at a crucial moment in June: the German executive did not want to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the middle of the transfer window, nor did he want to pay a hefty penalty to secure his release.
The transfer window has now closed, and any potential fines have expired: on Sunday, Krösche resigned from his position, and everything, along with numerous reports, suggests that Milan want to complete the task they left unfinished.
On his YouTube channel, Carlo Pellegatti spoke about the situation.
"Anyone who wants Krösche before June 2027, in this case Milan, must pay a release clause of between €5 million and €7 million. I am not saying that this is an insurmountable obstacle, but the negotiations must undoubtedly take this into account as well, as if Milan were buying a player, except that they are buying their Head of Football. Eintracht Frankfurt have already identified Christoph Spycher, a former Frankfurt full-back and now sporting director of Young Boys, as the person who will replace him."
