Tomorrow evening, Milan will return to action against Udinese and, compared to Thursday’s defeat to Bournemouth, there should be a few changes to the starting line-up, while the squad will be even shorter due to the various injuries.
How many absentees?
The long-term absentees Samu Chukwueze, Matteo Gabbia and Alexis Saelemaekers, who will only return in 2027, have been joined by new injured players today. Adrien Rabiot, Diego Moreira and Mario Gila will not be available tomorrow, meaning the squad will be seriously depleted, as pointed out via Milan Press.
As well as the starters, therefore, there are few players available to come off the bench: Diawara and Terracciano are the only alternatives in central defence, with Estupiñán for the left flank and Terracciano himself for the right. In midfield, there are Comotto and Loftus-Cheek (who is also a doubt), while Camarda will lead the line, with Hutchinson on the wings. Several players from Milan Futuro will also be called up.
Udinese-Milan: the possible line-up
Amorim therefore has little choice in his team selection. In defence, in front of Maignan, Tomori should play again on the right, with Bartesaghi on the left and De Winter and Pavlovic in the centre. A midfield three of Musah, Modric and Jashari, with a front three of Cisse and Pulisic on either side of Ramos. The probable line-up is as follows.
Maignan (c); Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic, Bartesaghi; Musah, Modric, Jashari; Pulisic, Ramos, Cisse.
On the bench: Torriani, Bouyer; M. Cissé, Diawara, Estupinan, Perera, F. Terracciano; Comotto, Loftus-Cheek, Vos; Camarda, Hutchinson, Menon, Ossola.
