With Milan’s victory over Udinese, Rossoneri coach Ruben Amorim has reached another small milestone at the start of his career as Milan’s manager. In the league, in fact, the Portuguese coach remains unbeaten after eight matches. Amorim is only the third Milan coach to go unbeaten in his first eight league matches. Only Puricelli (1955) and Carniglia (1963) had managed to do so before him: therefore, this is an achievement that had not been seen for at least 63 years.
The 'Opta' statistic on Ruben Amorim’s unbeaten league run as Milan coach:
"Ruben Amorim is the third coach to remain unbeaten in each of his first eight matches in charge of Milan in Serie A, after Hector Puricelli in 1955 (eight as well) and Luis Carniglia in 1963 (unbeaten in his first 13)."
