Everything is ready for Christian Pulisic’s contract renewal with Milan until 30 June 2031. The signing should take place in the coming hours, with the American forward expected at the club’s headquarters and the official announcement expected to follow.

An initial agreement has already been reached between the Milan club and the American’s entourage: the expiry date will be extended to 2031, and there will also be an adjustment to the salary of the former Chelsea player, who has already made 142 appearances and scored 44 goals in the Rossoneri shirt. The American’s contract was due to expire in 2027, but Milan had already made it clear that they wanted to extend it and make him a symbol of the Rossoneri, a key figure and also a symbol in the United States for club owner Gerry Cardinale.
Milan-Pulisic renewal: the numbers
In terms of figures, Pulisic will go from a net salary of €4 million per year (although the benefits of the Growth Decree still apply to this amount) to €5 million per season, excluding bonuses, which will amount to €6.5 million gross, as relayed via Calcio Mercato.
So far, considering an amortisation charge of €5.2 million and a gross salary of €5.3 million, the annual cost recorded on the accounts for the American was €10.5 million. Paradoxically, with this renewal, Milan will save money on his annual cost: starting with the 2026/2027 accounts, Pulisic will cost €9.1 million, while in the following years the total will be €7.1 million, €3.4 million less than the annual cost of his current salary.
