Italian journalist Luca Bianchin spoke as follows on La Gazzetta dello Sport about AC Milan's transfer plans for the attack:
"The striker is a separate matter. In the transfer market, the striker is always a separate matter. Milan invested over €70 million in Gonçalo Ramos during the summer, a deal that is now viewed with a certain degree of concern. It is right to give Ramos time, but Cardinale has had a case of love at first sight with Nicolò Tresoldi in recent weeks, after he scored three goals against Inter in his personal Champions League derby. Tresoldi has been a Milan fan since childhood and makes no secret of it. Milan would gladly give him the satisfaction of playing in the Rossoneri shirt, but Club Brugge raises its hand and says no with its finger. In the summer, they were asking for €50 million. Today, who knows. What is certain is that relations between the two clubs are very complicated: De Ketelaere in 2022 and Jashari in 2025 were the most complicated negotiations in Milan's recent history.
"So, anyone who wants to say now what Milan will do in January, impossible, should bet on surprises. Cardinale has left clues about the path ahead: 'In January, we will continue to be aggressive and opportunistic. We must continue to improve the squad because I was unable to do everything I wanted during the summer. It will probably take another couple of transfer windows to complete everything.'
"Something will happen, and the next two months will reveal where. A winger? Possible, if Amorim decides that more attacking impetus is needed on the left, or Chukwueze finds himself with company among the injured. A goalkeeper to send Torriani out on loan to play? An underestimated possibility, but one that should not be ruled out. With Cardinale, as has become clear, surprises – even ones worth €50 million – are possible at every street corner."
