The Italian newspaper 'Il Quotidiano Sportivo' carries the following headline in this morning's edition:
"A constant presence, dialogue with the fans and investments. This is how Cardinale has reclaimed 'his' Milan".
After the first few years of his ownership of the Rossoneri club, during which he was rarely seen, the head of RedBird is now a constant presence alongside the Milan team. The Rossoneri club's owner has also already announced further investments in the transfer market in January to make Milan's squad even more competitive, having spent over €150 million in the summer.
After Saturday's derby victory over Inter, Cardinale said:
"Tonight, we saw what this team is made of. If we stay united and support one another, we will win. The team has had to deal with a demanding fixture schedule and too many injuries, but tonight it was character and resilience that made the difference. For all 90 minutes, the lads never gave up, once again demonstrating what I have always believed about our players and our coach. This team has everything it takes to win. Now we must continue along this path."
