The headline in this morning's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reads:
"The big Milan returns. Amorim with his first-choice players: from Modric to Gila, to avoid another defeat."
Following yet another heavy defeat in the Europa League, the Rossoneri will face Genoa at the Marassi today at 15:00. Genoa have won their last three league matches. After making several changes against Ferencvaros, Ruben Amorim will once again rely on his key players, meaning Mario Gila will return to the starting line-up in defence, Luka Modric in midfield, Diego Moreira on the wing and Christian Pulisic in attack.
Milan travel to Genoa with several absentees, with as many as seven players unavailable, three of whom are defenders. Pietro Terracciano, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Alexis Saelemaekers, Samuel Chukwueze, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Strahinja Pavlovic will all be unavailable.
Amorim hopes to have some of them back after the international break.
