Gianluca Di Marzio, a journalist and transfer market expert, made some statements on Sky Sport, warning Paulo Fonseca of the risks he may face during Milan - Liverpool, the Rossoneri's debut in the Champions League.

Here are his comments:
"Fonseca reiterated: improving the defensive phase, because blaming only one department, just the defence, is not enough. But improving the defensive phase is necessary. This is a problem that Milan has carried over from the end of last season."
He added:
"The two goals conceded per game, and even at the start of this season, two goals conceded per game. The match against Venezia represented the first turning point, the first crossroads passed. Now it will be important to see if Milan can defend well against certainly stronger opponents, with all due respect to Venezia, such as Liverpool and Inter. Today he repeated several times: ‘We need to defend well.’ And against a team like Liverpool, which features Salah, Diaz, Diogo Jota, and possibly Chiesa, who has been called up and will be on the bench for the first time. Either you defend well, or you risk a lot."
What Di Marzio expects from Milan:
"So from there, I expect, more than the team’s identity, an improvement in the defensive phase, which has definitely been a problem that Milan has been dragging since the end of last season."
