La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition confirms the reports of Rafael Leao's exclusion from the official starting lineup in view of the match against Udinese.
The newspaper adds that the club is suggesting this is part of a rotation, but the feeling remains that it is a punitive exclusion following his comments made during the week.
Milan is confident that the rift is not definitive but can be mended. The club is giving Leao the same affection that the Portuguese player says he feels at home, but the results are inconsistent.
Who will replace Leao?
It is, however, hard to say for how long this situation will continue. Tonight, Noah Okafor will play on the left, in the Portuguese left-winger's usual position.
